My Thoughts:

Before I start going, I would like to note this book was not on my TBR or my radar for a TBR placement. I saw it on Kindle when actively looking for Monster romance to fill said TBR and instantly thought it was another book from Tiffany Roberts. Then I read the author's name and became intrigued.

Now, onto my thoughts.

First and foremost, the dedication page, I have seen it before by other MR authors, and as I appreciate the humor, I wish there was another fun and clever way to introduce the book I am about to read.
Dedication: To the badass Monster Fuckers reading this book, I must warn you about the spider smut you are about to consume. You know you want a possessive ice spider- or how Xaviar likes to point out, "I am Zxalian."- to cuddle with in the cold, harsh conditions of Wursth.
So, if you secretly crave a massive spider monster to call your own and love smut with a badass heroine, turn the page to proceed...

As some of it was entertaining and clever, other parts were confusing as I do not know what a Zxalian is nor who Xaviar is. But moving on as I am just nitpicking at this point.
This novel is roughly 150 pages, so it was a relatively quick read.
WARNING! Spoilers are down below!
It starts with a human woman named Reily, set well into the future, and they are learning/ testing time jumping with specific coordinates and using humans to do so. They are sending handfuls of people through constantly, and none of them come back through. One of those humans is Reily's BF, which encourages our MFC to volunteer to be a part of the next batch.

Our MFC somehow ends up in the ice age, and she becomes head of the clan. If you didn't guess, it catches the eye of the Ice spider dude, who has been lurking around and watching. She gets attacked by a tiger, and Xavier saves her.
[ALSO, I would like to note. I cannot for the life of me visualize this man/spider. He is described as having a lot of human male-like futures, which doesn't make sense if he is a massive spider, and also, that doesn't match up with the cover art on the book.]
Anywho, as soon as this two touch, they are mates (I would like to preface it the same thing this doesn't bother me as many fated mate series have this kind of encounter. Shit, in my book, the MMC, smells the MFC, and boom, mates. Though in this context--well, lack thereof context, I do not understand how they could be fated mates.)
So after he claims her, he traps her in his cave and is like, 'you no leave, you stay' (caveman stuff we all swoon for) and tells her, " Hey, you aren't leaving here until you have my spider babies, so get yo self comfortable. And he reasons that they will die if they do not make these babies together. And you may have guessed it again; they did make said babies.
In the end, she stays with her mate, they have babies, and a few girls stay with her. She finds her BF's glove (not sure how she knows for a fact that is her best friend's glove.), and then the spider gets kicked out of his clan.

General Reading: I would give this a two out of five stars.
Spice rating: mmmm, I will say a three out of give.
With that all said and done. I would like to point out some things that do not sit right with me about the art this author uses.
Exhibit A
Exhibit B
Exhibit A is a lot more concerning to me than B, and I understand that some art of a giant ass spider and a woman could look faintly similar, but this is damn near identical, and that isn't right ethically or morally.
There is more I can say, but in the efforts of not stepping where I don't belong I will leave it at that and you do with it what you will.
