A Court of Frost and Starlight

A Court of Frost and Starlight

Feyre, Rhysand, and their friends are still busy rebuilding the Night Court and the vastly altered world beyond, recovering from the war that changed everything. But Winter Solstice is finally approaching, and with it, the joy of a hard-earned reprieve.

Yet even the festive atmosphere can't keep the shadows of the past from looming. As Feyre navigates her first Winter Solstice as High Lady, her concern for those dearest to her deepens. They have more wounds than she anticipated-scars that will have a far-reaching impact on the future of their court.

Bridging the events of A Court of Wings and Ruin with the later books in the series, A Court of Frost and Starlight explores the far-reaching effects of a devastating war and the fierce love between friends.

My Thoughts:

I don't know how to feel about this one...
I hated how distant Nesta is, it breaks my heart that she doesn't feel like she deserves to be there with them all celebrating, and then when she did show NO ONE but Elain got her a gift! NOT EVEN HER OTHER SISTER! How is she supposed to feel anything but resentment from Feyre when Feyre does nothing but show that strong sense of distaste?

On that note, Tamlin, what the shit guys, I know what he did wasn't okay, but what he is going through ALONE is worse than anything Feyre went through in that house. She didn't just destroy his life, but all of those within (well used to be) in the Spring court. He has nothing, absolutely no one and nothing, he is in a dark void and there is no one there to help pull him free of it. On top of that when he asked Rhysand if Feyre could forgive him, that is where I broke. The poor man I cannot help but feel horrible for him.

As for Lucien, what the fuck, sorry I know Elain has and is dealing with so much trauma, but the way she is so crass with him is a gut punch every time. But then she is so good with Az, it's not okay. Like Lucien went out of his way to buy her a gift that makes sense, that is useful, that was meaningful in the way of Lucien observing and understanding her hobbies, but she didn't care, and then gave Az a gift that was meant to be funny, it just showed how much none of them let anyone else fit if one singular person dislikes them.

The way Feyre handles, interacts with Lucien is also gross, she ruined his life just as much as she ruined Tamlins, how does she expect him to want to be with them all instead of a place that holds him with value? Leave him alone, she needs to leave them all alone unless she is doing something helpful without a motive.
