Onyx Storm by Rebecca Yarros

Onyx Storm by Rebecca Yarros

THE STORM IS COMING . . .

Get ready to fly or die in the breathtaking follow-up to Fourth Wing and Iron Flame from #1 New York Times bestselling author Rebecca Yarros.

After nearly eighteen months at Basgiath War College, Violet Sorrengail knows there’s no more time for lessons.
No more time for uncertainty.
Because the battle has truly begun; and with enemies closing in from outside their walls and within their ranks, it’s impossible to know who to trust.
Now Violet must journey beyond the failing Aretian wards to seek allies from unfamiliar lands to stand with Navarre.
The trip will test every bit of her wit, luck, and strength, but she will do anything to save what she loves - her dragons, her family, her home, and him.
Even if it means keeping a secret so big, it could destroy everything.
They need an army.
They need power.
They need magic.
And they need the one thing only Violet can find—the truth.
But a storm is coming... and not everyone can survive its wrath

Can January 21st hurry up please, I would like to experience the shit show of this book! What happens to Xaden? What does Violet do? How are the dragons effected?! SO MANY QUESTIONS that need to be answered!

01.26.2025: The tantalizing text has been circulating for almost a week now, and I have just embarked on the journey. If I could offer one piece of advice to my dear readers, it would be to refresh your memory with a quick read of Iron Flame. The words danced off the pages, beckoning me to dive back into its rich world of magic and adventure. The cover alone sparked my imagination - flames licking at the edges, hinting at the fiery trials that awaited within. As I turned each page, my heart raced with anticipation, eager to discover what lay ahead in this captivating sequel.

03.09.2025: I stopped reading it... which after reading my first part of the review is laughable. I think I was excited and felt a little theriacal. Idk. Anywho I ended up putting it down because it became very slow very quickly. There is so much-repeated information that we learned last book. I am not sure why this trilogy turned into a flipping 5 book series? The first book, loved it, the second one was mmm good enough, this one could have been the roundabout finishing up book easily but no, that would lose the author money.

I suppose I will start off on a good foot; the whole seventh dragon species Irid (I don't know why but it doesn't the wow effect I was hoping it would, basically she's a rainbow dragon + mood ring dragon.)
