'A Goddess of Life & Dawn' by K.M. Moronova

'A Goddess of Life & Dawn' by K.M. Moronova

Once upon a time, there were two Rhythm Gods: one of brilliance and one of darkness. But there was much more to the realms than the two gods alone could provide, so the Maker created a third, unknowingly unbalancing the Rhythm and setting the realms on a path of suffering.

The God of War has stolen that which I hold dearest. Though I am reunited with my beloved gods, a hole remains and my heart is in shambles. Together we must look to the past to preserve the future, for if we cannot restore the Rhythm, the realms will crumble.

09.14.2023: I got my ARC, and I started reading right away. Yall when I say CRYING with the first page, I mean it.

09.20.2023: Holy hell, she did it again! The world building, the characters! All of it is just ugh so freaking good!

Here is my final review!!!!

Firstly, I need to say, this series is one of my favorites, I have been ARC reading for her since the beginning and she has out done herself time and time again. This book is no exception, but with that being said, there were a few things that I felt fell a little flat.

One being the first spicey scene. It was a bit rushed and random which in turn made me feel a little off and mmm uneasy. PLEASE note this can 100% be a me thing, I can get put off by sexy scenes and that’s personal lol. Another place I felt could have been a little bit more was the bonding because when she bonded with Arulius it was magical. You could almost feel it yourself with the way she wrote out the emotions and everything. But when it came to Kastian it was more like, oh we came, we did it and that was that. There wasn't that thick emotional substance to it all.

The last thing that has stuck in my mind was everything that happened between Elodie and Rune was wiped away like it never happened. The way they were separated I was hoping all of it would come back around in this book but there was just nothing.

All in all, I am giving this a 4 out of 5 stars. I love the series, the characters, and the world building. The plot was wonderful and the story itself was enjoyable. This will be a series I re-read at some point, perhaps when we are snowed in for the first time.

I would 100% recommend this series to anyone who loves fantasy, is up for an adventure and isn't afraid to cry.
